Voldemort transitioned. Hear me out: Voldemort changed his name: from Tom Marvolo Riddle to Lord Voldemort. He now has a deadname, so to say. He also changed his visual appearance from a meek boy to a not-too-humanlike snake-person and he also changed how he is being treated and adressed by others and in society as a whole: he went from Tom or Mr. Riddle to Lord/Master and from a talented, skilled schoolboy to being a dark overlord.
